I keep meaning to update my journal entries here and post a few more but damn, I have been so busy. I'm moving in 2-3 weeks, finally getting out of this lil rural town and heading off to Melbourne to get in on that city living I've coveted for oh so very long. When I do though, I'm looking at throwing myself open to model/miniature commissions. I have to finish the one I'm currently working on first. But I'm on the hunt for a new job, I currently don't have one. And while that's all part of my plan, I've prepared for this. Wait... what...? What is this... I don't even... I sold a painting for the first time today! I'm amazed quite frankly. I never expected to ever do that and it had never been my intention, I paint purely for my own enjoyment. If anyone else enjoys my work, that's a bonus but I never expect to get anything from it. So having a distant friend of mine turn around and offer to buy "The Colour From Outer Space" was quite a surprise! The idea that someone else considered my work to be valuable enough to give me money for it has blown my mind. I offered it to him for $25, having no idea what so ever about how to gauge what a painting is worth and
